Advanced Practice Providers (APP)
Advanced practice provider (APP) is a term used to describe nurse practitioners (NP), clinical nurse specialists (CNS) and physician assistants (PA) trained to care for patients in conjunction with or under the supervision of a physician. They are licensed to provide primary and specialty care, order diagnostic tests and prescribe medication.
