Dr. Oaks was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is marries with six children and five grandchildren. He enjoys Jeep 4×4 wheeling, hunting, snowboarding, and playing the drums. He has been a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) since 1996. He has served at the national level as a member of the ACOS’ CTV Executive Committee and was the Chair of the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Division for 2 years. Dr. Oaks has also served as a Board of Governor to the ACOS
