Advanced technology
Why should technology be important to you?
Technology, combined with skill and experience, is a high-tech set of "eyes and ears" for your physician. New technology helps provide faster, more accurate diagnosis, treatment and recovery. State-of-the-art technology is just one piece of OHH's entire program that represents a commitment - both scientific and financial - to the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
Nation's first all-digital hospital
Since opening in 2002, the Oklahoma Heart Hospital is on the front line of medical advances, bringing the latest in cardiovascular medicine to our state in diagnosing and treating heart disease.
Patient medical records, chart information and test results are available ecectronically for easy physician access from anywhere in the hospital.
- Cardiovascular diagnostic imaging
High resolution monitors are stationed in patient rooms and physician offices, providing doctors with instant access from anywhere in the hospital to diagnostic results. Doctors can clearly show test results and explain the diagnosis to patients.
- Physician notes
Physicians can quickly prepare diagnostic reports, eliminating dictation and transcription.
- Nursing units
Nurses can instantly retrieve current patient information, instructions and images in the patient's room. The technology allows nurses immediate access to information and gives them the ability to provide continuous patient care without leaving the patient's room.
- Physician offices
Doctors can review test results and patient status from their offices with the remote capabilities of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital's information technology. This technology expedites consultations and ensures the integrity of the data at all times.
